Opened in 2012 to meet the needs of the expanding nearby town of Dayton, the main town of Montgomery county, the Indu and Raj Soin Medical Center is the largest private hospital in the area, able to offer care and support in every foreseeable situation for the up to 130,000 or so local residents. Located in Beavercreek, Ohio (USA), and dedicated to two philanthropists who backed the project, the emergency Indu & Raj Soin Medical Center was built thanks to the creative mind of Jain Malkin: when entering the Indu & Raj Soin Medical Center, it seems as if you are entering a luxury hotel rather than a hospital and this first impact creates an immediate positive reaction that helps sick people feel better. A determining factor in this was the selection of the materials used to clad floors and walls. The choice was to use a couple of Ceramiche Caesar porcelain stoneware; the company supplied the Feel (in colours Mida, Colonial and Purple) and More(in colours Sahara, Lux and Coliseum) collections. In 2013, the Indu and Raj Soin Medical Center and Jian Malkin architect's studio were awarded the Mention of Honour during the Ceramics of Italy Design Competition 2013 at Coverings trade-fair, for the Corporate category.
