Temporary flooring - Louvre Museum Caesar Ceramics USA, Tiles, slabs and technical solutions

From 26 September 2013 to 6 January 2014, the genesis of the Italian artistic and culture movement that was the Florentine Renaissance was brought to France for a temporary exhibition at the Louvre, one of the most important museums in the world and certainly the most visited. Some 140 works, including several monumental sculptures and paintings, were presented, grouped into ten thematic sections, revealing splendours of that age which, with its powerful figurative language, changed the way to look at man and the world today. The value of the Made in Italy also found continuity in the choice for the setting and flooring of the Louvre Museum, thanks to Aexacta by Caesar, the self-fixing floor system made up of porcelain stoneware slabs that can be installed without grout and adhesive thus reducing associated time and cost. This solution meant being able to give a contemporary allure to the exhibition area without dismantling or damaging the pre-existing wooden floor and allowing for a consequent dismantle, with opportunity to re-use the materials elsewhere. Aexacta was chosen in the Tecnolito collection, the marble effect porcelain stoneware available in a broad range of colours, sizes and finishes that allow for the utmost versatility for contemporary architecture projects. The Karbon hue and the 60x60 cm size contributed to the creation of a balanced and uniform atmosphere, in perfect harmony with the exclusive style of the exhibition.
